It was used in Europe. I'm a little foggy going way back but a drug company that started with a C bought the rights to Thalidomide. When it was first put on the market in Europe it was for morning sickness. They have found it cures Leprosy and some forms of cancer. The downside is if it's taken during one week of pregnancy, 16th I think, the child is deformed. Other than that it's as safe as can be.

I remember it was many babies born in Europe, but I didn't remember that it wasn't approved here. That may have been a blessing.
