I can empathize with your foot/shoe problems. Ever since I can remember I've had pool-table flat feet. When I was 12 years old I wore size 12 EEE. Fortunately my feet only got to 13 EEE and stopped growing. Couldn't wear arch supports because no arches. Supports just messed with my Plantar fascia's. Now I'm getting treatment from the VA hospital for the condition. Ice, heat, several fins of stretches - everything several times a day, maybe forever. The pain can be excruciating at times which is part of the reason my walking pace is about 50 paces @ 16 inches each per minute. But at least I have feet, some don't.

Why wouldn't your mother buy you a wide enough shoe to fit your foot?
