That is a great story. Reminiscent of some the bigger than life characters that the north produced in the early days. I have thought about, planned and threatened my spouse that one day we are going to take the Alaskan state ferry up to Anchorage and then try and find our way home via the Alaska highway. She finds the idea palatable only if offered as an alternative to reaching Juneau in our smallish cruiser. The thought that Mr. Bush deserves the task of digging himself out of a very deep pile of shit has some appeal, of course it is tempered by the thought that countless more innocents will be slaughtered in Iraq and perhaps elsewhere. 50% of the voting population in the U.S. now are complicit in the future bloodshed, first time around they could claim ignorance, after all who could be blamed for punishing Clinton for his nation embarrassing antics. Now however all who voted for Bush new that it was a vote for further imperialistic actions by thier government.
