Fortunately or not, he just effectively removed himself from that burden of responsibility.

We can only pray that he is removed from that burden. I cannot believe the leadership would be dumb enough to allow him the honor to chair the committee after those comments. Of course I am not sure how the process works; I will have to look into it.

Arlen shot a hole in his foot with that one. His job is to review what is sent, not to instruct people who he will consider. Fortunately or not, he just effectively removed himself from that burden of responsibility.

Huh? He's doing what he thinks is right. That's his business. And from what I understand, there are a number of GOP leaders who are not happy with the radical right hijacking the GOP.
