You gotta keep it up above your heart. Lay down on the bed or sofa and prop it way up. Been there, done that and I'm telling you ya gotta keep that foot way up! Get Gary to make an ice pack that you can strap around your ankle. You can use a loose ace bandage, just enough to hold it in place and keep it on there.
