Kerry took out a $6 million mortgage on one of Teresa's houses in December 2003. Allegedly on his half of the house, but if he signed a prenup then it's probably not his house. Essentially she bought him the candidacy. But she could not buy him the presidency. Not to mention that she helped cost him the presidency by such antics as turning her back on the supporters at rallies, wearing dark glasses and hats, pulling out of appearances at the last minute due ot unspecified ailments, etc.
