Infanticide is out of fashion; embryos may not be cannibalised much longer; Butch and Sundance will not be taking a trip down the aisle in their lifetimes. Consider it shoved, lady.

If this is the tone taken about this election and it is allowed to expand into the next, the votes that Bush gained because Kerry offered nothing better (or for a lot of us nothing at all) will be lost next time around. It would be a huge mistake for the right wingers to believe this vote means some sort of blanket approval of an extreme right agenda. The author is making the same sort of assumption that the liberals are who are labelling the Bush voters Bible-thumping rednecks.

IMO, there are a lot of moderates who, when they decided values mattered, weren't thinking of reversing Roe v Wade but were reflecting a general conclusion that our country has allowed tolerance to become a lack of any guiding principles at all.
