of course there would be kerry / specter voters in philly... philly is 98% democrat. and specter has brought a lot of money into the city and the state. he has been great for creating medical jobs and the industry. supports lots of programs. and most of the votes he got was Philly. If specter was not moderate we would have a democrat senator.. no way would the other guy running against specter have beaten Hoffel. the only reason Bush supported Specter was to get on his coat tails in Philly and other democrat areas and hope they would hit bush ticket as well as Specter. The white house didn't support specter out of love... It was strictly calculated politics.
