vat tax what numbers are you looking at? 25/30% no way can you put that burden on lower income imo i expect food , clothing medicine would be exempt but it still too much out of pocket dollars for people trying to raise a family and educate them on little income. We now have 10% for first $14,000 and 15% for the additional income to $57,000 and then deduct out of that income , exemptions and standard deduction.. A vat tax to these people would be a tremendous tax increase... i vote against a vat tax.
