I'm not familiar with either Matthews or The Gorge (Unless it's the Columbia Gorge). i'm glad to hear that he kept his mouth shut.

My wife went to an Elton John show in LV a couple of weeks ago and had did a similar thing, perhaps a little more pointedly. He announced at the beginning of the show that there would be absolutely no political comments at all that night and then just got on with the show.
