i voted for specter the alternative was not what i wanted. in the primary the guy they had running against specter voted against Bush on the house floor many times. He is a radical. I do not like specter but felt the white house was right in supporting him for a few reasons.. one we would have lost one republican senate seat.. no question hoeffel would have beat the guy running against specter. also this guy did a lot of damage which may have gotten specter less votes in the run as the democrats used specter quotes against. like specter voted 88% of the time with bush! I expect you are wrong about specter costing bush votes in pa. i expect he added to Bush votes , just not enough.. Philly made the difference in the vote in Pa. Personally i doubt Rick Santorum gets re-elected in Pa. That is going to be some battle.
