I doubt a vat tax would be proposed. A flat tax, on the other hand, is more likely. If Bush doesn't move to outright propose a flat tax, he'll probably try to "peel the onion" a bit more and try to make the existing tax code "flatter". Exciting nonetheless. I never thought we'd get this close to these ideas.

I don't know what to think about Kerry running again in 2008. He's obviously a weak candidate, since he needed to lean on the Clintons in the last half. I think if the Clinton's still hold as much clout in 2008 as they do now, Hillary can get the nomination. That's alot of speculating at this point though.
