You have a serious case of revisionist history.

Most ME people that have a view on Israel have the same view.
This is why the Islamic people in the Middle East are getting their asses kicked on a daily basis. They simply don't know how to live and let live. If they would leave Israel in peace, then they wouldn't get attacked in return.

...imagine that before the US added Pennsylvania to the Union that Egypt grabbed half of it and set up an Islamic country, and the US objected from its beginning but didn't have the power to get rid of the Egyptian backed country.
The Jews BOUGHT most of the land on which they built Israel. The borders of Israel were agreed to legitimately by all the major powers after WWII, as a means to peace after horrible atrocities were perpetrated on the Jews by Germans and Arabs alike. Also, the Jews were in so-called Palestine millenia before the modern day Palestinians.

Then in a war 30 years later, the Egyptian sponsored state grabs all of what we think of as Pennsylvania,
Revisionist history. 6 Islamic Arab countries attacked Israel to destroy it and deny their right to existence. Israel fought back and annexed land that it felt was necessary in order to retain strategic high ground in anticipation of future Arab aggression. The Golan Heights are one such area, which was previously used to lob missiles onto Israeli settlements.

The Islamic Arabs define themselves by their hatred of Israel. Why don't they do something useful with their energy instead of worrying about destroying Israel, which prior to the intifada was providing the majority of the jobs to Arabs in the region?

it makes total sense for Muslims to not want a Jewish state plopped down on them in land they have occupied for > 2000 years.
This statement has only one word that speaks the truth. Muslims have occupied land in the Middle East. Jews lived in Israel long before Arabs swept in and brutally cleansed the land of Jews and Christians alike. This was part of successive aggression by various powers in that area that lead to the Jewish Diaspora. The creation of Israel was a homecoming for Jews who had been denied their homeland since aggressors, Arabic and others, had driven them out millenia ago.

So NO, it makes no sense whatsoever that Arabs should deny Jews the right to exist on a barren parcel of desert which Jews purchased from Arabs with their hard earned money and which they have worked hard to build a thriving Democracy on. Instead, what makes a hell of a lot more sense is that Islamic hate mongers and Arabs should spend more time working the land they still own and educating their children to make something productive of themselves. Until the Islamic people become worthy of the rest of the world by finding some honor and integrity, they will continue to be reviled the world over.
