I think you simply can't grasp the difference between religious leaders espousing hate and secular leaders who happen to be of a certain religion espousing hate. It's different.

We were arguing about whether Christianity has evolved to become peaceful or not, as well as the same for Islam. In today's world the Christian religious leaders almost never espouse violence as a means to an end. You admitted as much when you said the Pope doesn't associate with Bush.

However, Islamic religious leaders espouse hate and violence on a daily basis.

Here's Falwell's comments regarding gays. Do you want to hear what he has to say about Muslims, feminism, the gov't etc?

And Robertson is even better. Do you want to hear some of his hate and anger?

"AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals. To oppose it would be like an Israelite jumping in the Red Sea to save one of Pharaoh's charioteers."

"AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals.""
