The solution to SAD is to spend at least 1/2 hour outside every day rain, shine, gray, blue.

We are too "hang loose" here in the islands to worry about the election. Had some heavy rain on Thursday in Manoa valley [10 inches] that damaged the University buildings. But back to normal now. I was mopeding down Kalakaua today, checking out the bikinis. The islands run on sun, sand, and sex.

BTW: No need to spend money on expensive machines. The solution to SAD is to spend at least 1/2 hour outside every day rain, shine, gray, blue. The small amount of ultra violet that manages to enter the lens of the eye even on dark, gloomy days significantly alleviates the symptoms of SAD.

If you do want to perk up your lighting with full-spectrum lights, you don't need to pay much. Full spectrum (color temp 5100) flourescent bulbs are available that fit wherever a light bulb fits, and produce more light on less electricity than incandescent bulbs.
