CHESTER - Oustanding Imagery
Alert and Resourceful Reader "chthus" has given me excellent imagery links:

This one images.thetimes.co.uk shows the locations of key events during the aborted March and April battles in Fallujah. Two interesting points here:

1. One of the bridges thememoryhole.org we seized today is the one where the bodies of the contractors were hung. Retaking this bridge is probably quite a morale booster for US forces and probably has the opposite effect on the enemy.

2. The map notes that the US advance in April was into the southeastern part of the city. So we are coming at them from a completely different angle this time.

"chthus" has also provided a link to what is the best imagery of Fallujah I have seen to date. digitalglobe.com

I am printing these out and tacking them to the wall for future reference.
