Your post says they bought most of the land. So was the amount paid not enough? Or, was the distribution of the money handled poorly - did corrupt leaders get millions while the citizens received nothing?

My post was a response to mindmeld's point that Jewish people bought their land in pre-Israel days, and my point was that buying land in and of itself does not entitle the landownder to declare his property a new country.

Your questions don't seem to apply to the discussion.
