Unfortunately too many of the white wines produced everywhere today are designed to compete for the interest of consumers who normally drink Coca-Cola - hence today's high level of obesity and diabetes.

I think sickly-sweet Chardonnays and White Bordeaux should have warning labels.

I have yet to meet a wine from either New Zealand or South Africa that I didn't like.
