48% of the population did not vote for Bush. It's something 51% of the people need to remember.

That didn't stop Clinton and his ilk when he only got 42% and 48% of the vote. President Bush got a majority.

51% of the population did vote for President Bush. They believe in his ideas and his leadership. It's something 48% of the people need to remember.

Bush has the slimmest margin of victory since 1916, so Bush and his followers should really keep that in mind, rather than arrogantly saying "do it my way, or leave."

It does not matter. They are taking what happened last Tuesday as a strong mandate. There is no room left for naiveté. They plan to make sweeping changing including overturning Roe vs Wade:

We can not pretend this is business as usual.

I respect your post, because you imply including people in the process, which is a more constructive attitude than telling 48% of the voters, "if you don't like it, leave."

That's because he's from the Pacific Northwest.......where people are still reasonable. Don't confuse him with the GOP from the red states.

Good for you Amy. I'd like to see both of these big humps in the electorate move toward the middle.

One thing that doesn't help is a lot of people toying with ideas such as secession. Even if it is in jest or a scam, the whole concept is so explosive and potentially fatal that people who love this country should reject it.
