The SI political threads have had some pretty noxious bile on them this year but these remarks are the most repulsive I've read. If the writers had actually watched any war coverage I don't see how they could fail to be impressed by the courage, skill, thoughtfulness, and heart shown by our soldiers. I cry each day on news that more of their number have fallen, and, I'm sorry to say, thus far Iraqis haven't persuaded me that their liberation was worth the life of even one. These posters call conservatives intolerant and hateful? They need to look in the mirror. Shame on them!
