Good enough. So you know the rest of my position. That is, if you reduce drug company profits they aren't going to risk big dollars to develop new drugs that don't have the potential to generate big dollars. *THIS* is capitalism.

If you squeeze the drug companies profits, you also squeeze their willingness to spend on R&D. Then, they get it on the other end, as well, with unlimited exposure like with VIOXX.

You can't have it both ways. If you want the best drugs available, you have to be willing to pay the people who take the risks in developing them.

But you knew that, didn't you?
