Yes, Putin is using the excuses and the tactics of Bush (as well as the free reign since Bush doesn't care) to bring tyranny back to Russia. Bush doesn't care if Russia becomes an autocracy as Bush wants the US to become one as well. This is the problem inherent in how people mistakenly think of Bush as a champion of liberty when he's just the reverse. Bush is very comfortable with Putin's tactic of using the outsized fear of terrorism to rid Russia of a free press, political opposition and civil liberties because Bush is doing exactly the same thing in the US. Remember, one of Bush's bestest buds is Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia. Bandar has Bush's ear much more often (because it is NEVER) than the American citizen. Bandar is a member of the murderous thug theocracy of the Saudi 'royal' family. No religious freedom, no civil liberties, no voting, etc. etc. Do you want to live like the Saudis? Get ready to.
