You ever have a cow do the back kick to your gonads?

Naah. I don't think he ever stumped a cow.

OT::

Cows kicking are just trying to push you away as a rule, not hurt you. Mules and horses on the other hand are trying to kill you:)

Even more OT:

I was helping a beef rancher just before I left for boot camp. We were nutting bull calves and treating pink eye, etc. Anyhow we would run them into a head gate and I would rush up and tail jack them so the vet could do his thing. So this city guy Dave wants to give this a whirl. I said the most important part of this process is to get up close and fast, get your legs one one on each side of one hind leg and lift the tail to the moon.

You get close and straddle for a reason. They can't generate the speed when you are close and when straddled they miss you.

Anyhow the very first time he wanders up and lays his hands upon the rump of this soon to be steer who kicked and nailed him square in the gonads. After a recovery period he wanted to try again with the same result.

I still bend at the waist and cringe at the memory.
