** OT ** I've got a story for you.

When I first moved to the west coast, I got interested in spiritual things. This was granola high times, eastern meditation, astrology, body awareness, Zen, the whole (vegetarian) enchilada.

Anyway, some spiritual holier-than-the-rest-of-us had a seminar at the Empress (Big, famous hotel. Where the investment seminar will be next week), and I went. The guy was dressed in saffron robes and talked for about an hour. Some new age crap about putting the bell on the cat and associated simplistic stuff.

All the time he's doing this, he's constantly sneaking looks at a $5000 gold Rolex watch prominently displayed on his wrist. At the end of the seminar, he fields some puff ball questions, and that's that. I said nothing.

With the nastiness and wisdom of age, I would today ask him...

"Do we bore you? Is there somewhere else you'd rather be right now? Oh, and after talking about abandonding material values for 90 minutes, why are you wearing a timepiece worth more that what I spend in a year? Yes, I'm talking to you bullet-head."

Ahh... to be young again.
