The lack of reflexive pessimism = glib optimism ? Yes, Ruiz said that various Chinese cellphone Spansion customers had over-ordered, and then cancelled when cell demand was crimped in China, but that the situation appeared to be recovering. And now, if AMD does not provide even more guidance on Friday, you'll be worried? Good grief. Maybe AMD should provide daily guidance estimates? That would be a good use of the executives' time. Heaven forbid that they provide no guidance, and would simply be judged on the basis of each quarter's results. That would be disconcertingly rational. Doug
