euro cannot do most of the currency adjustment
they are doing most of the heavy lifting

from summer 2002, euro up over 50-53%
from summer 2002, yen up only 12-14%

EU will be screaming for yen appreciation soon

here is my bet...

CHINA WILL BE BUYING THE JYEN UP
so that they can push up the yuan-US$ peg
and make their imported materials cheaper
