Why do you want to create a whole new federal program with forced investments? I would prefer to invest my own money as I choose.

I believe people that support "privatization" are thinking about this incorrectly. If there was no SS, would you favor a forced retirement savings program run by the government? I doubt it.

So the real goal is to scale back SS and make it a real safety net (see Ron Paul) as opposed to a retirement program. Why not just do that?
