" is that they don't listen to anyone who disagrees with them. They simply (and condescendingly) isolate themselves from them, restrict their interaction to like-minded individuals, talk over them, or out-shout them.

No wonder there are still leftwingers who cling to the view that Bush couldn't have possibly won in 2000, because they don't personally know anyone who voted for Bush.

They ought to get out more often.

The neocon movement is based on destroying things, and hoping that either something better will come from the wreckage, or that it will bring on the end-times. There is certainly no logic or ethic in the left trying to create more mayhem. A best achievement can slow the destruction, or perhaps preserve something to rebuild once the madness burns itself out.
