Posts adjust to the width of the windows available. By inserting lots of carriage returns one can control the width, but it makes reading difficult if the screen is narrow. The appointment is lifetime. Some will be willing to go through it again if there is a reasonable expectation of success. Some will not. Miguel Estrada probably would not allow himself to go through it again without strong evidence that his name would come up rapidly. It is a humorous exercise in allowing Democrats to prove that they only support Blacks and other minorities as long as they stay on the farm. Uppity minorities must be thwarted by Democrats. Do you wonder how much their obstructionism cost them in minority and liberal support in the 2004 election? It cost Tom Daschle his seat.
