Look at some of McGreevey’s other friends: Former aides Gary Taffet and Paul Levinsohn are under investigation for allegedly using their clout to rig multimillion-dollar billboard deals. Two McGreevey fund-raisers, Ronald Manzo and Jay Phillips, who pleaded guilty to various stock schemes and business fraud, are reportedly cooperating in the billboard probe. Rajesh “Roger” Chugh, a former cab driver hired as an outreach coordinator by McGreevey despite the objections of a parade of prominent Indian businessmen. Chugh is under investigation for allegedly shaking down Indian small-business owners for campaign contributions.
