In order to investigate the entity you have to start with certain presumptions. Since soul, by definition, is eternal you have to assume eternity as real and crossing through and beyond temporality. The proof of soul therefore cannot be bound by the limits of scientific method, which is limited to observations of the temporal. Once you presume eternity you can offer evidence of stuff that passes through eternity. The presumption that history is real, for example, presumes that a record of things no longer observable is valid and that events and phenomenon of the future are reasonably assured. The soul is a special case. Our only accurate evidence of soul enmeshment is self-evidence. We can extrapolate and generalize to others of our kind and presume they (you) are endowed with the same qualities that make you human... 'less you are a phantom... you a phantom laz? There is more ... or maybe less to it. However, my point is that the kind of proof you are requesting is inapplicable to the case in point. As to when, how, or under what conditions a fetus becomes ensouled, it is largely speculation. I have read scripture that captures the event but even that doesn't translate into something that could be turned into a precise legal definition. If there is an all knowing God (as I believe there is), then there must be a reason that this line of humanity has been kept gray up until now. Until we have finite evidence of the exact terms under which a fetus becomes a human being, I am begging out of the debate on abortion. Except to say that we know killing a baby is infanticide and we are fairly certain that a baby is born with a soul. My guess is sometime near or after the first trimester ensoulment occurs. I suspect late term abortions would also qualify but I have no way to prove it, since as I previously stated, the condition is only self evident. None of us can testify about our experience in the womb. Not one of those things that can be proven either way. If I am going to err at all, I would rather err on the side of caution but that is my choice. got_to_go Have Peace
