Part of the point of devaluing is to become more competitive...
with that though comes a lower standard of living because everything you need costs more........
With productivity improvements that is less an issue... for non staples at least..

Sure it will hurt the Chinese as their inputs rise too...

Sure Chinese goods become more expensive possibly if the remnimbi is revalued upwards...

Sure though Chinese input costs for raw materials become cheaper too.. What costs the Chinese more ? domestic inputs or raw materials ? I dunno really...

The Chinese key IMHO is to get their domestic market cooking... that will be good for the entire world... take pressure off the US ..

and will be good for my Chinese stocks LOL..
