Nazism may have been a cult, at least from certain ways of looking at it, but that isn't what I asked. I asked if the Germans in general were a cult.

The Nazis did get support from Germans in general just as Islamic terrorist gets support from other Muslims. But many Germans were not Nazis and a number of them were not enthusiastic about Nazis. Similarly many Muslims are not terrorists, or Islamofacists, or supporters of such people.
