What a foul and hatefilled speech. The arrogance, prejudice and hatred that this writer embodies is EXACTLY what is killing your party. And fools like you keep sucking it up. It is the downfall of what was once a great party, and some are too blind to see that. The ones who embrace this mindset and pass it along are doing great good for the republican party. I cannot see how you could read it and not see the obivous disdain that the writer has for a humungous group of fair minded Americans. "I concede that I overestimated the intelligence of the American people" "I concede that I misjudged the power of hate." (this aimed at ALL who believe a marriage should be between a man and a woman. A tradition over 5,000 years old that is based on the propogation of our species). "There are some who would say that I sound bitter," He sounds like a prejudiced and hateful asshole who has no concept of tolerence, love for fellow Americans or any other redeeming human quality. And he does sound bitter too. I'll give him that. "We in blue states produce the vast majority of the wealth in this country and pay the most taxes, and you in the red states receive the majority of the money from those taxes while complaining about 'em." Is this the "two" Americas Kerryedwards talks about? Sounds like this guy REALLY hates the masses. How do you guys expect that type of attitude to help your cause at all? Like I said (before and after the election) this hatespeech is hurting you, and strengthening the GOP (and George Bush). That FACT has to hurt. I hope it does. "the people who subsidize you" Impossible for me to even comprehend a more arrogant person. I can't even fathom the possibility. "Because we're "morally inferior," " Not true of all democrats by any stretch of imagination. DEFINATELY the case with this writer. As foul of a hatespeech as I have heard. "This time I will not pretend that the simple folk of America know just as much as the people who devote their lives to serving and studying the nation and the world. They don't." So he is a fake in addition to being a bigot. I have a feeling this guy and the story is fake because it just is so un-American and hateful I don't think he could get a room full of anybody on the planet to applaud his hatespeech. Please tell me that you don't buy into this level of hatred JF. Do you relate to this speech? Does it represent your mindset? I truly hope not. If so, I pity you.

Do you even understand that Kerry WON two of the states(OR, MI) where gay marriage bans passed overwhelmingly? Are THOSE people hate filled? Looks like you are not too familiar with the facts.
