Economic power being shifted towards Europe? How's that??? Some of these posts are amazing. Until I started reading this thread I had always thought that Americans and Canadians were pretty much on the same page. Part of my thinking stems from the so-called 'war on terrorism'. I think that the current and future state of communications and transportation and technology means that the war on terrorism will never end. There will ALWAYS be individuals and groups that feel they have been dealt with unfairly and will choose the most dishonorable ways imaginable to express their displeasure. And access to communications, transportation, and technology means that they will unfortunately have ample opportunity to wreak havoc...so staying a step ahead of whomever these parties might be, now and in the future, is a forever thing in my opinion.
