I tried so hard to think of another chicken pun for you; bantied a few about, but just couldn't pullet out of my tired brain. Speaking of brains- the stress of the musical is getting to me. I dreamed I was walking down the school halls, and people were looking at me oddly. I passed a mirror and saw that my head was shaved, and my skull had been removed and was now attached with hinges. I didn't have the nerve to look inside. Then someone said, So they got you, too. And I turned and saw a boy whose head was also shaved and hinged. I think my mind is saying, you must have had a lobotomy to do this show. Actually we opened last night, and it was a great success in that we started at the beginning and managed to make it to the end. Mics didn't work, people missed entrances and skipped measures, but somehow, the band wound up doing the finale at roughly the same time as the actors. Close enough for my increasingly low standards. Two more nights and then I am on a plane to London. Unfortunately the two high schools have handed me 30 new pieces of music for the Christmas concerts which will hang over me the whole trip. I am kinda wishing for the hinged skull so I could just open up and put the music in.
