Mani, It is really not very complicated. Saddam was an evil dictator who oppressed, terrorized and murdered Iraqi people. Any other statement justifying the war is dishonest, regardless of how many times it is recited.

I take issue with that. There were many justifications for removing Saddam. One could argue that the one you gave is "dishonest" in itself, for we don't go take out every other dictator that does likewise.

What a dim-witted statement if you believe Bush's argument for the Iraq war!

Iraq under Saddam had nothing in common with the "Islamic fundamentalism". Saudi Arabia, our "ally", and to a lesser degree Pakistan and Iran are a much better fit.

Well said.

Mani, why do you take offense to his statement?

(Humor) Have you moved your money out of the USA yet before it's too late . . .

: )

It's amazing how they apparently don't teach this in USA schools. Basic information too.

Then again, something like 40% or 60% of Fox readers think bin Laden lives in Iraq.

Good luck to you educating the masses on your point. You have an uphill battle.
