I am coming more and more to the view that that a good reason to close the border is to drive up the bottom level wages.

Yesterday he moved to resurrect his plan to relax rules against illegal immigration. The president met privately Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to discuss revive a stalled White House initiative that would grant legal status to millions of illegal immigrants. Secretary of State Colin L. Powell was simultaneously pushing the plan during his visit in Mexico. However, House Republicans vow a fight.

Hell no to amnesty, and this pander to Hispanic voters! Black folks primarily feel the brunt of illegal immigration, through our unemployment rate and life chances. Yet are black 'leaders' looking out for us? Not a damn one. And Secretary Powell is selling out black folks too. We must take matters into our own hands, and raise our voices. If black folks must follow the law, why do other folks - whose first act on U.S. soil was to break our laws - get a pass?
