Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, the Globe reporters only address some of the crucial flaws in the U.S. voting system in the last paragraphs. Typical of the media to bury the meat and puff up the propaganda in the headline and first sentences for the sake of influencing the short-attention span American.

The huge problems that we have with voting in America:

1) It is pure idiocy for this nation to allow voting to be counted on "black box" machines owned, calibrated and easily hacked by partisans.

2) It is pure idiocy that the governmental agents in charge of counting the vote are allowed to be partisan. This applies to Secretaries of State and County Clerks among others. None, none of these people should have any partisan alliegance whatsoever.

3) In a sensible world, our voting should not be controlled by the government, which, after all, has a stake in the outcome and the ability and motivation to cheat. Non-profit, non-governmental citizens groups should be running our elections.

4) Corporations should be strictly restricted from any, any involvement whatsoever in the process of electing our representatives and governmental leadership. Today's system is fascism. It needs to end now.
