Iraqi Insurgents Took Control Over Bridge in Baghdad

10 November 2004 | 15:10 | FOCUS News Agency

Baghdad. About 20 Iraqi masked insurgents have taken control over a bridge at one of the biggest highways in western Baghdad. A part of the city has been subjected to a blockade, reported Reuters. Witnesses say that there is a shooting in the region.

Brings us back repeatedly to what Gen. Shinseki said -- that we need several hundred thousand troops to pacify Iraq. Otherwise, what happens is, we rush troops to Fallujah and all hell breaks loose in Baghdad and Samarra. We rush troops back to Baghdad, and Fallujah and Ramadi become "no-go zones". And on and on and on.

I am sure there is no need for a draft -- the millions of folks that voted for Dumbya in the red states would be willing to go and/or send their children to die in a faraway desert.
