We change leaders with elections. This is not the elections thread. However, if you want to change foreign policy, do it by setting your ideas in a broader foreign policy context. The political leadership we have in place, and their cheerleaders, will learn nothing from you or me or anybody else. Its a football game to them. It is political entertainment. If there are people on this thread so pre-occupied with turning Iraq into a theatre for blood sport, the floor is theirs. But for anybody interested in foreign policy, the time is now to turn off your TV and put your ideas together. Read something worthwhile and work on what comes next. Not this year or next year -- but in years and decades to come.
