Hard to imagine someone being appointed to the Supreme Court without ever having been a judge anywhere.

If Bush is going to appoint someone with no judicial experience, I'd rather see Ted Olsen, who recently resigned as Solicitor General, and has much, much experience before the SCOTUS.
