Never disagreed with that. I disagree on the rationales that France is putting a drag on the Euro. Why France? In the same order of rationales, why isn't the California deficit told to be the culprit of the woes of the US Dollar? Apples to apples, same nonsense. IMO, the financial order is sick and about to be replaced with an ever more unefficient system (Joseph Stiglitz et al.) in which the quality of a lender would be measured to it's capacity to service the debt. Forget about the principal. Forget about real assets (under which gold). No place left for gold here.
