OK, JP - If tax cuts are so great, why not eliminate all taxes?

And if taxes are as great as you here imply, you should advocate taking all of everyone's money and property as a tax. When the extremes of our views are set side-by-side, my view is patently superior to yours-- at least it will be to any true American. Under my extreme, individuals would still be free to form willing associations that purchase goods and services for their members – without compulsion. Under my extreme, the individual would still be free even to decide not to pay anything at all and not to benefit of any result of anyone else's association. Individuals would still be free.

Your view offers only oppression, social dependence and irresponsibility. It keeps itself alive by murdering liberty, independence and self-reliability while masquerading as “compassion.”

Kenneth, why do liberals resort to such ridiculous extremes?

Tax cuts do not equate to tax elimination.

Look up the Laffer Curve. If taxes are zero, revenues are zero. If taxes are 100%, revenues are zero. I know you're thinking how can that be? Well if taxes were 100%, nobody could, or would be able to pay it given the cost of living. Instead there is a point between 0 and 100 where revenues are maximized. Revenues are not maximized at 100% tax rates.
