I am interested in the views of geniuses who actually have something to say, which may be provocative or controversial or contrarian or just interesting or at least not just mindless attacks or visits to the past at SI. We could argue forever who said what two or four years ago, and I don't think we would be any further ahead. It is easy to make mistakes communicating electronically, to alienate people or totally destroy their feelings, and this medium seems to bring out the beast in some people. I am trying to bring the thread back up above this level. If your feelings are hurt, you are welcome to talk about that here. The whole original idea of this thread was to be a bit more real than you can be at a stock thread, to vent ideas or voice opinions of any sort, in a safe place. I see it as my role as thread mom or whatever to try to recreate that safe place. Did you want to make some sort of genius observation?
