I think we should split the country in 3, carve the border in a way that leaves Sunnis with the little bit of oil, and we would end up with 2 wealthy, potentially democratic countries (Kurdistan, and Shiite Iraq - scratch that, people would abbreviate it as Shiraq?) and a poor hellhole in the middle, resembling Gaza for Sunnis.

I have no problem with this suggestion, it gets my vote.

Three new countries, they need names. How about....

Kurdistan
Shiraq (for the Shias in the former Iraq), and
Insurgistan (where the bedouins are always revolting)!
