I agree, in my opinion laws regarding marriage are a state issue and should be legislated there. I don't believe in enacting constitutional amendments for public opinions that may change over time, that's what statutes are for. IMHO

I think most were supporting something moew likw civil unions. Tgey saw a level of justice in the concept. As for making an issue of it that is something rove did. Trying to do the right thing was vilified by the right.
