there is much discussion re arafat- as to whether he is to be commended for fighting for palestinians or condemned as a terrorist. it is important that people see clearly that terrorists like arafat are not models to be followed or praised. rather than have history say arafat led to a palestinian state, it is far better to chase palestinians (arabs) out of west bank- so all will see arafat's actions did not lead to a successful result for the arabs.

I find CNN reporting and their interviews is quite hateful toward Israel - they attack every official who brings up Arafat as a terrorist and peace effort spoiler (Jim Clancy) or very biased sorrowfully reporting by Amanpour filled with sorrow for a master terrorist and cold blooded murderer. This is evident with almost any other CNN reporter from the area like Michael Holmes. As to BBC is outright filled with hatred and completely sided with the idea to blame Israel on everything happening in the ME. France TV5 is competing in their denigration of the Israeli people and eulogizing the master terrorist and murderer. As they really do not have any good reasons to blame Israel they are trying to pinpoint the hatred on Ariel Sharon, completely ignoring the democratic process in Israel (which is to much of democracy IMHO) and present fight of Sharon for his political life with his disengagement plan. All that those TV networks do is promoting and giving extensive airtime to arab figures to spout even more hatred toward the Jews and Israel and eulogizing a master terrorist and cold blood murderer. Growing up in Romania, it was very difficult for me, for many years to understand how the atrocities during WWII could happen and why no one country raised his voice aside from very few individuals who in many instances paid with their lives. Now by watching the TV networks of the “civilized Old Europe” I realize the deep rooted hypocrisy of the politicians of those countries from Spain to France to Sweden to Greece and so on, I sadly understand why during WWII the Holocaust was possible on such big scale.
