It's easier to make negative charges that are unsubstantiated than to try to find the truth.. Both candidates were maligned and one fault that I find is that Kerry did not repudiate the charges against him. He rarely spoke about them.. to the best of my knowledge...

The evidence points to a General Discharge. Kerry carried a Secret Clearance. The Navy would not permit that to continue after they learned of his treasonous activities. It has been claimed that all Naval officers have to have a Secret Clearance. The fastest way to fix it is to give him a General Discharge. General Discharge strips all rights for the person. Why did Kerry get his medals and ribbons restored in 1985 after joining the Senate?

Occam's Razor states that one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed. The above logic fits Occam's Razor.

The apologist explanations rely on too many assumptions.
