He knows that the illegals cannot be stopped, at least in the short term. He figures its better to know who is here and know they are hispanics and not Islamic Nut Jobs.

It's not amnesty. << Let them respect the immigration process if they want to come here. He's just encouraging more of the same. Some cities are overflowing with unemployed illegals who demand free medical care in hospital emergency rooms. >> Bush is working on a realistic solution to the problem and I believe that it will help resolve the problems that you mention. There are lots of good workers that cross the boarders with good intentions. Ideally we could keep them and get rid of the bad eggs. Dave
